This is What America is All About: Oregon TEA Party Patriot Liberates Flag From Occupy Portland Abusers
Dateline Portland OR – Sunday November 3, 12 AM. She did it all on her own and it was a touchstone moment for freedom. On an otherwise depressing, mushy stinking night, an Oregon TEA Party Beauty reclaimed “Old Glory” from a group of illegal protestors who had been disrespecting it. Daylightdisinfectant was on hand to capture it all.
Around Midnight on the evening of the De-Occupy deadline, a group of Occupiers (sometimes refereed to as “Fleabaggers”) had scaled the famous Elk Statue on SW Main between SW 3rd and 4th, dragging it all over the statue, hanging it upside down, and manhandling it. Of course the flag is never to be flown upside down except to signal an emergency. A group of TEA Party men including the DD reporter, looked on in disgust.
The woman, identidied as ‘Deb'” approached the group of TEA Party Patriots, said “Hi,” and brushed by. She quickly scaled the base of the “Thompson Elk” and using cunning and intellect reclaimed the flag. She then literally ran for the other side of the 3rd street, through violent anarchists and police, some wearing riot gear. She exited the sidewalk and dodged traffic to get around the mob, at one point risking arrest just to get through.
John Kuzmanich, Chairman of the Oregon TEA Party was in full pursuit. The Daylightdisinfectant reporter was about 2 yards back bringing up the rear, and caught it all on tape. “Between exercising my 2nd Amendment right, and all the camera I was carrying, It felt like I was running with combat gear on,” he said. “I’m a marathoner … and I didn’t know Kuz could run that fast!”
Emotional and ecstatic, the Liberator eventually arrived at the front door of the Portland Police Station which served as safe ground. Only then would she give an interview.
