SHERIFF MACK UNLOADS ON OBAMA AT OPEN CARRY EVENT

Dateline Sunday 28 April 2013 – Portland Oregon:  At a local “Open Carry” event, Dan Sandini of Daylight Disinfectant gets a short interview with Sheriff Richard Ivan Mack. Sheriff Mack has been a staunch critic of the Obama Administration’s gun policies, and lets the President have it both barrels regarding the Machin-Toomey Bill which was recently defeated in the United States Senate.

The event, called “Packin’ Heat Meet & Greet, Part Deux,” was held Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 12 to 4, at Coffe Villa in the town of Orchards, near Vancouver Washington. About 20-30 people were in attendance at the time of the interview.

To quote Sheriff Mack regarding “Open Carry”:

“Anytime I can be with Patriotic Americans, standing for freedom, coming out here enjoying a beautiful day, I’m not going to miss it: a beautiful day to stand for freedom. … It’s part of the American Lore, it’s part of the American Culture that we carry guns. I don’t really approve that we have to seek permission from Government, to carry a gun because the Second Amendment already guarantees that. And we need local officials in Washington and Oregon to stop it and respect the Second Amendment, just as it was intended to be.”

Regarding Manchin-Toomey quips Sheriff Mack

“I was really thrilled with the US Senate telling Barrack Obama to take his gun control and shove it up 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!”

[Indeed.]  The event was free, open to the public, and the second such event held in the area. The event organizers advertised: “We are issuing an open invitation to President Obama or Vice President Biden to come, enjoy, drink coffee, and explain their gun control policies to us. Coffee Villa is Open Carry-friendly, so come toting your favorite sidearm.” To our knowledge, neither the President nor the Vice-President took them up on the offer.
