“It’s standard in primary care. To have, you know, you ask people about seat belts, about bike helmets, about tobacco, and you ask ‘is there a gun in the home?’
UPDATE SundayNovember 2, 2014 10:05 PT: BREAKING: Commies try and have gun video removed from YouTube: FAIL! I replied to YouTube and answered the complaint they filed against my YouTube channel DaylightDisinfectant a few days ago. Another win for Gun Rights Activists. Another loss for the Socialist/Fascist/Statists who want to take your guns away by trampling the First Amendment, so that they can then trample the Second Amendment. Here’s what YouTube had to say after reading my response to the Gun Grabbers complaint:
“We have reviewed the complaint and have determined that the content is excepted from removal based on our privacy guidelines, which can be found at …
The content does not violate our policies and will remain on the site. We thank you for using YouTube.
Soldier on everyone! Thomas Paine and Andrew Breitbart are smiling today! Watch the video again (along with Parts 1 and 2 which are linked, each under 5 minutes). Worth the time. Also please LIKE (the video is current even on ::LIKES:: and ::DISLIKES::) and ::SUBSCRIBE::. #WINNING Thank You!
UPDATE Thursday October 30, 2014 18:55 PT: It seems Dr. Emory was not entirely accurate or was at least incomplete, in her statements. Not only did Florida try to pass a law, they did pass such a law and it was upheld by the The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta. As reported in the Wall Street Journal, and blogged here:
“The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta has upheld a Florida law that discourages physicians from discussing gun ownership with patients. According to the court, the law does not prohibit asking patients about guns, but only cautions not to do so when it “would be irrelevant to patients’ medical care.””
UPDATE Thursday October 30, 2014: I received the following email from Ryan James writing to me on behalf of Dr. Emory.
Hi Dan,
I’m writing on behalf of Dr. Sylvia Emory, requesting that you remove the claim on Youtube and your website that she said “F*** Florida” in your Oct. 29 video.
She clearly says “you have to love Florida.” It is not in personality to use that kind of language, nor does she have any ill feelings toward Florida. The quote is inaccurate and misleading.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Ryan James

UPDATE! Wednesday October 29, 2014 18:34: Dr. Sylvia Emory is Candidate for US Senate Monica Wehby’s successor at the OMA.
Dateline Thursday, October 30, 2014 – Portland, Oregon: Remember how after Gabby Giffords was shot in the head by a Democrat Whack Job, Liberals were supposedly entering a period of “New Civility?” The Left seemingly never tires of accusing Conservatives of being angry and intolerant. Unfortunately, for them while they are entitled to their own opinion, they are not entitled to their own set of facts. In this the third release from Portland’s “Gun Grabber Gabby Gifford” event, the video once again provides “the smoking gun.” Emory was caught on tape shooting off her mouth at Grant Public High School. During the same event participants held themselves up as “role models” for the kids. Yeah sounds about right.
This third volume being released from the event shows it to be “the gift that keeps on giving.” Analisa Davis, the Volunteer Chapter Lead for “Mom’s Demand Action” kicks off this reel by advocating “Universal Background Checks.” She states that kids in Oregon can go online and buy guns and no one knows who they are. Really? With this clip we begin to see the strategy being taken for this forthcoming legislative session. Guns are to be treated as a “health issue” and, as such, restricted (in violation of the Second Amendment.)
Next up is Vanessa Timmons of the “Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence,” which put together this shameless Gifford “side-show.” This clip provides some of the looniest testimony of the whole affair. Timmons claims: “When guns are dangerous, women die!” (Huh?) The cherry on her “dumbass sundae” is: “When guns are dangerous, women die!” I’m still scratching my head over that one.
The former Chief of Police of Gresham, Carla Piluso (who is running for office by the way) piles on, comparing restrictions on the Second Amendment to seat belts, bike helmets, and cigarettes. (Editors note: I believe it was around this time that I began to try and figure out just what planet I had landed on.)
But the “crown jewel” of this piece of “YouTube Gold” is again provided by star moonbat and Oregon Medical Association President Dr. Sylvia Emory:
“It’s standard in primary care. To have, you know, you ask people about seat belts, about bike helmets, about tobacco, and you ask ‘is there a gun in the home?’ You ask: ‘do you have kids? Are your guns stored safely?’ You talk about safety, we talk about trigger locks. Florida tried to pass a law to prevent physicians from talking about that. “Um yeah that ..,” quips Emory.
This video’s “Creeper Award” goes to Obama-appointed, District Attorney Amanda Marshall. Amanda see’s my camera but just can’t seem to help herself:
“… I really appreciate it when my pediatrician asks those questions and says ‘are there guns in the home? Does anybody have a gun? Where are they?’ … and I also really appreciate … … (whispering) alright the media’s here so I’m going to tone it down … (ha, ha, ha) …when my, when my doctor, um asks me … ‘has anyone touched you in a way that you felt was threatening? ]Has anybody done anything to you that you didn’t like?’ … and I love that!”
Erin Greenwald, Attorney for Oregon Department of Justice chimes in with her own version of hysteria: “It’s an overwhelming public health … *crisis*!” A “crisis“ Erin? Really? Your own colleague Amanda points out that “more people die in swimming pools.”
Hayley Zachary, Executive Director and Founder of “Americans for Responsible Solutions” (Giffords’ cash cow) then pipes up with something straight out of 1984.:
“It is not a private issue! … When you look at the actual policy solutions this is not controversial. “It’s not controversial among gun owners …” “You can’t be strong on domestic violence prevention and against reforming our gun laws.”
Stay tuned for the grand finale which is provided by Representative Barbara Smith Warner:
“I, um, defer also to Senator Ginny Burdick who I’m sure you all know …” “… who has been the lead person on this in the State of Oregon …” Now it all makes sense Babs!
I’ve given you “the best of the best” in this less than five minute episode of highlights cut from “the gift that keeps on giving” Please ::LIKE::, the video, ::SHARE:: with your friends, and subscribe, at youtube.com/daylightdisinfectant
(IMDB Page) From the Cast Page for the Documentary “Occupy Unmasked”: Inspired by Andrew Breitbart and James O’Keefe, Dan Sandini is an independent citizen journalist working out of Portland, Oregon. He is a staunch advocate of the First Amendment. In 2010 he was assaulted by Democrat thugs for having the temerity to record a speech by then gubernatorial candidate John Kitzhaber. He produced a video of the Orwellian experience, which has received almost 70,000 views. Following the 2011 Tax Day TEA Party he produced videos detailing the hateful rhetoric and behavior of the Left, including homophobia, racism, anti-Americanism, and threats of violence. Carla Piluso was not “sheriff” of Gresham. She was the chief of police. Chiefs of police are employees hired by a city. Sheriffs are elected and serve the citizens of a county. A sheriff has many more responsibilities than a chief, including staffing a jail, search and rescue and issuing CHLs.
Thanks I’ll make the correction.
Fixed that. Thanks.
She did not say fuck Florida. She obviously had a stutter when beginning her sentence and everyone made noise, disctracting her. Its very clear. She didnt say what you are promoting that she did. Pure click bait.
That’s a lie. If I misunderstood her she can come forward and I will print a retraction, but I have listened to the audio several times. It’s exactly what she said. Btw, if you really want to make a case for this use your real name. Thanks. Dan Sandini.
Agree with Brett; I think this woman would know better. Regardless, f*ck Florida 😉
Honestly it’s women who should be up in arms about this video. Publishing a conversation of this many women displaying this level of ignorance is setting back any progress they have made. Putting this foot forward will not help them get taken seriously.
