OREGON OBAMCARE BOARD MEMBER: “THE PUBLIC HAS NOTHING”

Oregon Obamacare Board Member: “The Public Has Nothing.” CIO: “We Have a Beautiful System”

Dateline Sunday November 17, 2013 – Portland Oregon:  At last Wednesday’s board meeting for Cover Oregon, the Oregon Obamacare exchange, there was a tense exchange between Board Member Aelea Christofferson and Aaron Karjala the CIO for Cover Oregon. Ms. Christofferson begins with: “How much of the fact that we have nothing out, keys on the … we have nothing {waves hands} the public has nothing in front of them yet that they can sign up on. And, that’s the way the consumer sees it we have nothing. How much of that is because, um … the way that we are choosing to do this versus what is actually there and capable of doing something at a fairly high consistency?” The verbal exchange ends with the CIO for Cover Oregon stating: “There are no areas where the system is at a core, going to have to be rebuilt … that … it really is finishing and … the way that I have put it, and it’s … you know … this may come back around on me, we have a beautiful system that has had a lot of problems, and we just need to get over those problems.”

You have had 2 years and 700 Million taxpayer dollars Mr. Karjala. How much more time and money do you need?

  1. LIstened to this gobbly goop, what a crock in November – – no hard followup questions clarifying the clap trap spewed by Karjala – I don’t write code, but he was dancin’ like a machine but he made no sense at all.
