On March 15th known criminals from the former Occupy Movement attacked a well-known Citizen Journalist in the Portland Area. Here’s the story.
Dateline April 23, 2014 – Portland Oregon: By now you may have seen footage from March 15th’s Portland Anarchists “Anti Police Rally” which caused hundreds of dollars of damage. Violent anarchists overturned trash cans, beat on private automobiles, and broke several windows throwing bricks and bottles. Video of the actual windows being broken was captured by Conservative YouTube enthusiast Laughing at Liberals, and an excerpt is included in this newscast.
The Portland Police SWAT Team had to be called out to put down the riot, as well as numerous bicycle-mounted patrolmen, at the cost of what is undoubtedly thousands of taxpayer dollars. The Liberal mainstream media in Portland has once again been complacent in supporting what’s left of Occupy Portland by largely ignoring the story.
What hasn’t been reported so far is the assault on the alternative media which showed up to cover the event. Keep in mind this was an event to which the public was invited. One Occupier attacked a citizen journalist just prior to the vandalism at the Multnomah County Probation Office. Carlton Ray Smith (aka. “Papa Smurf”) attacked Citizen Journalist Dan Sandini just as the attack on the county property was about to take place. This was in an apparent attempt to prevent him from photographing the perpetrators. Smith slapped and punched Sandini’s camera, hands and arms, and continued flailing at him throughout the act of vandalism. Whereas Carlton Smith began his antics prior to, or as the vandalism was occurring, this would indicate that he may have had prior knowledge that the attack on this particular building was going to take place at this particular time.
It seems Smith is no stranger to trouble, shown in the video in a November 2011 mugshot from a trespassing charge, this past December being put into the county lockup, and finally in his February 29, 2012 booking photo, on a felony charge of criminal mischief. Watch the embedded video carefully to see Smith, come out of the right side of the frame, just as the trash barrels are being overturned. Also as Smith hits the cameraman, and then continues to flail at him throughout the attack.
Daylight Disinfectant News will be filing a police report with the Portland City Central Precinct where Carlton Ray Smith was last detained. Whether Smith is currently on probation is not known at this time.
Later that evening an additional assault occurred against the videographer. Occupiers who were part of the protest issued anti-gay and homophobic slurs against the videographer. Many other Occupiers and anarchists were involved in this and they may be the subject of future news releases as this story develops, and attention merits. Be sure to check back frequently to daylightdisinfectant.com for future news releases.
From the Cast Page for the Documentary “Occupy Unmasked”: Inspired by Andrew Beitbart and James O’Keefe, Dan Sandini is an independent citizen journalist working out of Portland, Oregon. He is a staunch advocate of the First Amendment. In 2010 he was assaulted by Democrat thugs for having the temerity to record a speech by then gubernatorial candidate John Kitzhaber. He produced a video of the Orwellian experience, which has received almost 70,000 views. Following the 2011 Tax Day TEA Party he produced videos detailing the hateful rhetoric and behavior of the Left, including homophobia, racism, anti-Americanism, and threats of violence. These videos have been seen by over 1 Million people and were featured on The Glenn Beck Program, The O’Reilly Factor, and Sean Hannity.
We know Carlton Ray Smith, aka ‘Mike Smith’, but we still haven’t figured him out. Thank you, Daylight Disinfectant, for your revelations about him.
Consider the possibility that the black bloc anarchists of the Rose City Antifa, who organize and man these “Fuck the Police” riots, are, on the level of their leaders and various informants, actually allied with the Police. The ‘anti-Police’ riots happen with the apparent foreknowledge of the Police, and the riots provide an opportunity for the Police to earn overtime pay while practicing their riot-control maneuvers with a realistic crowd of demonstrators. The ‘anti-Police’ riots also provide Law Enforcement with ‘proof’ of the need for their riot-control and community surveillance services. Additionally, the ‘anti-Police’ riots give the Rose City Antifa cohort practice in terrorizing the community, an activity which they may be called on to escalate in the future.
This is a really interesting theory. I like to believe that all cops are “good.” But I did notice on May Day, the cops were banging a nail with the proverbial sledgehammer. Beautiful undercover Mustangs, and an overhead helicopter that was obviously outfitted with cameras and gear fit for a military operation, and probably as many cops as their were “peaceful” protestors. There certainly is the *opportunity* for a conflict of interest to exist. This is one of the most insightful and thought out comments I’ve ever read on my site. Please keep reading and commenting, and tip me where the bodies are buried.
